Your Safe Space
Person-Centred Integrative Approach
A general goal of counselling would be to heal and empower the person through person-centred empathic stance, helping the client to increase his/her self-awareness, make new meanings of same situations/events, and learn new skills/ways to manage better going forward, through psychoeducation and practice.
We believe in therapeutic alliance being the key in determining the effectiveness of counselling. Thus, we hold the elements of Person-Centred Therapy as the foundation of building this therapeutic alliance, which includes a non-judgmental empathic stance, unconditional positive regards and congruence. We strive to create a comforting safe space for our clients to freely discover themselves through the therapeutic process of counselling, almost like a baby in a safe cradle.
Our counsellor is trained in different modalities through her Degree and Master of Counselling Study, such as Psychotherapy, Psychoanalytic Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Rational-Emotive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Redecision Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, etc. She is also trained in Career Counselling, as well as some training in Group Therapy. We believe in tailoring our approach to our client’s needs as we understand that every person and every client is unique, even though they may bring into session similar issues, no 2 experiences are identical, and no 2 persons are identical. Thus, no clients should be given a standard prescription.

Our counsellor has experiences working with people from different age-groups, from children, to young adults, adults, and elderly, people from different backgrounds, including socio-economic status and professions. We work with clients in the change process of their emotions and thoughts through the counselling process. We believe in keeping a balance in different areas of our life to be performing at our optimal.
